Secretary Gilberto Eduardo Gerardo "Gilbert"/"Gibô" Cojuangco Teodoro Jr. - Presidential Candidate


Gilberto Eduardo Gerardo "Gilbert"/"Gibô" Cojuangco Teodoro Jr. was born on June 14, 2009 in Manila. He is the only child of Gilberto Teodoro, Sr. who is the former Social Security System administrator and Mercedes Cojuangco-Teodoro former member of Batasang Pambansa. He accomplished Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from De La Salle University in 1984. In, 1989, he finished his law studies at the University of the Philippines and in the same year he topped the Philippine Bar exams. He went to Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts for his Master of Laws and completed it in 1997 and admitted to the State Bar of New York the same year.

He practiced his skills as a lawyer in the EP Mendoza Law firm for seven years. Secretary Gilbert Teodoro is also accredited as commercial pilot and a Colonel in the Philippine Air Force Reserve. He also holds many distinct memberships including the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, UP Alumni Association, UP Law Alumni Association, Harvard Alumni Association and the Harvard Law Alumni Association.

Secretary Teodoro was held as a house representative of the First District of Tarlac from 1998 to 2007. He assumed the position of Assistant Majority Leader in the 11th Congress and head of the Nationalist People's Coalition House members. He was also a member of the House contingent to the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council. In August 2007, he was then appointed as Secretary of the Department of National Defense.

Election Plans for 2010:

To avoid a state of progress plateau, the country needs more innovative ideas to fuel the industry and the economy. The country has exhausted the era of copying and remodeling trends, it is time for something new in order for the country to become more globally competitive. The country needs to generate more ideas. The talents and minds of our countrymen is our greatest resource.

Sen. Manny Villar - Presidential Candidate


Manuel Bamba Villar, Jr. was born on December 13, 1949 in Tondo, Manila. He is the second of the nine children of Manuel Montalban Villar, Sr. a government employee and to Curita Bamba a seafood dealer. At a young age, Sen. Villar helps his mother selling seafood at the market and supports his siblings and himself for school. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of the Philippines.

He started as an accountant and financial analyst for companies at the Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co. and to the Private Development Corporation of the Philippines but quitted his job and started on his own. At the age of 28, he was then successful and earned millions after investing in a 160-house development project. He then decided to concentrate his self in a housing project which is very affordable. His housing strategy clicked and made Villar as a famous housing industry leader. Villar presently holds major stocks in C&P Homes, Household Development Corporation, Palmera Homes, Britanny Corporation, Adelfa Properties, Fine Properties, M.B. Villar Company, and Macy’s, and many others. In 1992, he entered politics and elected as Congressman in Las Piñas and Muntinlupa three times consecutively and in 1998 he was chosen as a Speaker of the House of Representatives. Villar was then elected as Senator in the year 2001. He is also the President of the Nacionalista Party.

Villar received several awards including:

· Ten Outstanding Young Men in 1986

· Agora Award for Marketing Management in 1989

· Most Outstanding CPA by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1990

· Most Distinguished Alumnus of the University of the Philippines in 2004

Sen. Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III - Presidential Candidate


Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Cojuango Aquino III was born on February 8, 1960 in Manila. He is the only son of the two famous political leaders here in the Philippines; former President Corazon Aquino and Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. He has four sisters and one of them is a well known TV host and actress that is Kris Aquino. Noynoy is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1981 at Ateneo de Manila University. In 1983, after the murder of his father, Noynoy had a short possession as a member of the Philippine Business for Social Progress.

Profession:

1985-1986: Retail sales supervisor and youth promotions assistant for Nike Philippines.

1986: Assistant for advertising and promotion for Mondragon Philippines.

1986: Vice-president of the Intra-Strata Assurance Corp. which is a family-owned corporation.

1986-1993: Vice-president and treasurer for Best Security Agency Corporation, which is owned by his uncle Antolin Oreta.

1993: Executive assistant for administration in Central Azucarera de Tarlac, a sugar refinery owned by the Cojuangco clan.

1996: Field services manager in Central Azucarera de Tarlac.

1998: Elected to the House of Representatives, representing the 2nd District of Tarlac. He won re-election in 2001 and 2004 and served until 2007.

1999-2002: Secretary General of the Liberal Party

2002-2004: Vice-President of the Luzon Liberal Party

2004- March 16, 2006: Secretary General of the Liberal Party

November 8, 2004 - February 21, 2006: Deputy Speaker

March 17, 2006 – present: Vice Chairman of the Liberal Party
